Although I deal in cotton, I have never grown it before, so I suddenly wanted to try growing cotton...
“You’ve got fields you aren’t using, right?”
“Yeah, I’ve got a few.”
“Could you lend me one? Or how about growing cotton with me?”
“Cotton? What? What are you going to do with cotton?”
“I just want to try growing it.”
“Somebody was growing cotton in front of your factory, right?”
“Yeah, they were.”
“So I want some seeds and if you could show me how to grow cotton…”
“Hmmm… Raising cotton… But what are you going to do with it?”
“I just want to try growing it.”
“It’s a pretty big field.”
“For raising cotton?”
“It seems fine for that.”
“We haven’t used it in years. We’re going to have to plow it first.”
“Let’s start plowing, then. We’re going to need a few more hands.”
“OK. Let’s start!”
“First, we’ve got to get the big stones out. Then level the ground with a machine.”
“Seems like a lot of work…”
“I haven’t done this in a while…”
“Nobody can do this by hand.”
“We’ll rent a machine!”

“We made rows!”
“It’s budding!”
“What? You’re going to raise cotton?
“Yes, we are. We rented a field.
Got some seeds.
Someone told us how to plant and raise them.
Everybody’s helping.
We’re just about to plant the seeds.”
“Sounds interesting! I’m in.
I want to take a look at what you’ve got. Where is this again?”
“In Wakayama.”
